The Kahnawake Legislative Commission wishes to advise the community that the Justice Services Division of the Mohawk Council of Kahnawake has submitted an application form to amend two regulations pursuant to Articles 9.2 and 13.1(g) of the Kahnawà:ke Justice Act. The amendments will be made to Regulation 1: Eligibility Criteria for Judges, and Regulation 2: Selection Process for Judges, both of which are regulations under the Kahnawà:ke Justice Act.
The Technical Drafting Committee will amend the regulations and consult with stakeholders and community members. The community will be informed of the consultation process and scheduled events.
