The Interim Legislative Coordinating Committee has announced that the Election Facilitation Committee for the 2009 Mohawk Council of Kahnawà:ke Elections has forwarded a list of recommendations to be considered as amendments to the Kahnawà:ke Election Law.
The Interim Legislative Coordinating Committee has previously received two requests to amend the Law, which has been officially entered into the Community Decision-Making Process. The community will be notified of the next steps.

Reminder: Currently, hearings continue to finalize the community mandate for the Justice Commission to proceed with the development of a Kahnawà:ke justice system. The next meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, 3 Tsothohrkó:wa/February from 1 to 4pm at the Kahnawà:ke Moose Lodge.
