The Kahnawà:ke Legislative Coordinating Commission is saddened by the sudden passing of Ms. Lori Niioié:ren Jacobs.
Up until recently Lori held a seat on the KLCC as a Community Representative. As a Commissioner she conducted herself with integrity, wisdom and intelligence. The high standards she set for herself and others were a hallmark of her character. It was only fitting that she held a seat on the KLCC as she was known throughout her adult life as a person whose political activism and acumen were foremost in her heart. She worked throughout her life to make Kahnawà:ke a better place and for that we are eternally grateful.
The KLCC wishes to offer its sincerest condolences to her family and many friends and colleagues. She has played a major role in the ongoing development of governance in the community. For that and many other reasons we shall remember her fondly and with our greatest respect.
