Petroleum Regulatory Law
Synopsis
This Law was enacted by MCR #21/1995-96 on May 15, 1995. This is tri-partite law with Kahnawà:ke, Akwesasne and Kanesatake respecting the supply and sale of petroleum products within the Territories. The Law provides for the establishment of a Mohawk Tri-Community Petroleum Fund, conditions for obtaining a retail vendor’s permit, transportation permits, appoints Inspectors and establishes a Mohawk Petroleum Authority and Board.
